Our customer only apprenticeships are open to all ages and backgrounds, whether you’re starting out, changing direction, or returning to work.
About the role
You’ll initially study for your Level 2 which is 24 months, if successful you will move onto Level 3 which is a further 15 months of study. You’ll be a valued member of the team, learning by doing and supporting colleagues with meaningful, hands-on work. You’ll be trusted with real responsibilities while being fully supported as you develop your skills and confidence.
You’ll learn how to:
- Install, repair and maintain joinery components, such as doors, floors and fittings
- Prepare, set out and complete joinery tasks in occupied and empty homes, using the right tools and materials
- Work safely on site, following health and safety guidelines
- Communicate professionally with customers and colleagues, showing care, respect and good timekeeping
- Record work accurately and quality checks as part of your apprenticeship
What qualification will you gain?
Level 2 Carpentry and Joinery apprenticeship, delivered by New College Durham. You’ll combine on-the-job learning with structured study, building skills and confidence that will support your long-term career.
Who we’re looking for
- Achieved GCSEs in English and Mathematics grades 9-4 (A*-C)
- Are IT confident, or at the very least have a basic understanding
- Are keen to learn and develop new skills for example, communication both, verbal and written
- Share our values, want to make a difference, and thrive in a team environment
- Are organised, curious and willing to ask questions
