Introduction: We have a brilliant opportunity for you to join our Colleague Services team as Human Resources and Development (HRD) Colleague Services Assistant.
Role Overview: Our colleague services team are the first point of contact for all HRD activities, from Recruitment to Onboarding and Development. You'll support colleagues and managers with legal processes and compliance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Completing employment checks for new starters including DBS checks, reference requests, and visa checking
- Handling contractual changes
- Monitoring compliance
- Answering incoming calls to our main HRD phone line
- Administering and supporting colleagues, managers, and candidates through various processes to ensure a smooth experience from start to finish
Candidate Profile:

- Calm under pressure and able to manage workload efficiently

You'll work with a passionate team committed to providing excellent service, ensuring compliance, and maintaining accuracy. Our manager Tracey has been with Home Group for 15 years and is dedicated to supporting new team members. Our wider team is welcoming and supportive.
Working Arrangements:
- Full-time 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Flexible hybrid working: 2 days a week at our Newcastle Head Office, the rest from home, with face-to-face meetings quarterly
