Typical day as a Housing Manager
Be visible and proactive on estates, building strong relationships with our communities.
Manage multiple patches and neighbourhoods, supported by Community Housing Assistants.
Tackle anti-social behaviour and respond to customer queries and complaints.
Oversee the voids process, working closely with local authorities.
Carry our estate inspections, meet contractors on site, and complete safety and compliance checks.

About You
Housing sector experience with knowledge of housing management, housing law and ideally universal credit
CIH Level 3 or willingness to work towards it
Organised, methodical, proactive and positive
Resilient when handling challenges and complaints
Confident working with external partners and stakeholders
You will though, spend most of your time out in our local estates, all while still being part of a supportive team.
Job details
Hybrid role: 2/3 days in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear and the local region
1 office anchor day at One Strawberry Lane, Newcastle, plus home based admin
There be some flexibility to adapt your working hours (to discuss at interview)
Mostly Monday-Friday, with occasional evening meetings, but you will be able to manage your own diary
Vehicle insured for business use required, but we pay for your mileage
You’ll need a Standard DBS check done and we pay for that
We can\'t sponsor you due to certificate limits. We review this regularly.
