We are seeking a dedicated Housing Management Worker to join our team in Gateshead. As a key member of our housing and property team, you will support our customers by ensuring their homes are safe, well-maintained, and suitable for long-term tenancy. Your goal will be to assist tenants in managing their tenancies and rent accounts, ultimately helping them transition to secure, permanent housing.
Typical Responsibilities
- Engage with customers with low to medium needs to support their housing requirements.
- Support customers in maintaining their properties and involving them in tenancy management.
- Assist with housing benefit claims and ensure timely receipt and processing.
- Manage vacant or void properties efficiently, including basic maintenance tasks.
- Conduct routine safety and compliance checks, ensuring all records are accurately maintained.
- Handle administrative tasks such as updating records, ordering supplies, and coordinating repairs.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in property management, compliance, or health and safety checks is desirable but not essential.
- A proactive, positive attitude with good organizational skills and initiative.
- Strong customer service skills and a genuine desire to help tenants.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues and external partners.
- Passion for property and pride in maintaining high standards for customer properties.

Job Details

- Possession of a vehicle insured for business use is preferred; mileage will be reimbursed.
- An Enhanced DBS check is required and will be paid for by us.
