Type: Temporary Fixed Term (initially 6 months), part-time (18.75 hpw)

Salary: Earn £12.60 per hour (£24,638 per annum) [pro rata] and great benefits including cash Health Plan.

This is a great opportunity for a Housing Management worker to join our team here in Cumbria. As our housing and property expert, you’ll support our customers, ensuring their homes are safe and well maintained. You’ll provide a housing management service, support them in managing their tenancy and rent accounts, and engage with the community to promote social activities and reduce loneliness.

Typical Day

  • Support older people over 55’s to maintain their homes and community involvement.
  • Assist customers with housing benefit claims and ensure rent accounts are up to date.
  • Maintain properties to ensure they are safe and compliant through routine checks.
  • Manage administrative tasks including updating records, ordering, and arranging payments for works.

Our Team

You’ll join Manager Tina and our Older People’s Independent Living team, who are passionate about their work and proud of the homes and community impact we make. We foster a supportive environment with regular meetings and team activities.

Job Details

  • Flexible working hours, ideally 8:30 to 12:15, with potential for negotiated patterns.
  • 3.75 hours daily, Monday to Friday.
  • Based at our Wigton service, with time spent with customers and in accessible offices.
  • Proficiency with technology for records, benefit claims, and tenancy management.
  • Occasional coverage of other schemes and attendance at team meetings; a vehicle insured for business purposes is required, with mileage paid.
  • An Enhanced DBS check is required, paid for by us.
