Housing Management Coordinator
Salary ÂŁ25,838 per annum with great benefits including Health Cash Plan. Permanent, full time (37.5 hpw), Monday to Friday, hybrid working in Darlington.
We can’t offer a CoS for this role.

What You’ll Do
- Ensure our customers’ properties are homes they can be proud of, supporting them by engaging and involving them in their tenancies.
- Help customers (especially those with mental health and/or complex needs) with housing benefit claims, ensuring they are received on their rent account.
- Issue and sign warning letters and notices where needed, which may lead to attending court.
- Turn around vacant or void properties within set timescales to prepare rooms for the next customers and maximise occupancy.
- Ensure health and safety compliance and that maintenance standards are met.

You have
- Experience in managing a housing management caseload and overseeing landlord and housing management duties.
- Know‑how of re‑letting of rooms or units, collecting rents, and taking formal tenancy action when needed.
- Ability to take on a lead role within the team, offering guidance and support to your colleagues.
- A \”can do\” positive attitude: proactive, well‑organised, and able to work on your initiative.
- Confident working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business as well as with external partners.
The practical bits
- Monday to Friday 9 am‑5 pm.
- Based at our supported properties in Darlington; you’ll spend your time travelling around the properties. Hybrid working between home and supported services.
- Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans, making benefit claims and doing tenancy sign‑ups.
- To get from A to B, you’ll need a valid driving licence and a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we’ll pay your mileage!
- You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
