Working across our services in Workington and Cockermouth.

Permanent, Full time (37.5 hours per week), four on, four off rotation.

Salary: £24,638 per annum [pro rata], with benefits including Health Cash Plan.

We’re hiring Supported Housing Concierges to join our teams. You’ll support vulnerable customers, including those with complex care needs, ensuring their safety, maintaining secure and welcoming buildings, and fostering good relations with neighbours.

Typical shift as a Housing Concierge:

  • This role involves more than just security or CCTV monitoring; it’s about active support and safety management.
  • You’ll be the first point of contact for customers when other support isn’t available.
  • Manage health and safety by patrolling, checking fire doors, and ensuring premises are secure.
  • Respond promptly to suspicious activity or emergencies, raising alarms and engaging emergency services when needed.
  • If time permits, assist with cleaning tasks, including sweeping and mopping.

You bring:

  • Calmness under pressure and excellent communication skills.
  • A passion for supporting vulnerable individuals, possibly from public service or military background.
  • Interest in people, keen observational skills to notice behavioural changes.
  • Confidence in intervening sensitively to prevent issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with support from wider teams including out-of-hours emergency support.
  • A vehicle insured for business purposes (mileage paid by us).

Travel between our sites in Workington and Cockermouth.

Work a four on, four off rolling rota from 8pm to 8am.

Attend regular daytime training and team meetings.
