The predicted salary is between 40000 - 60000 £ per year.
Based in either the Northwest or Scotland, with hybrid working, you’ll have the flexibility of working from home while having a base at one of our national offices e.g. Maryport, Edinburgh or Glasgow.
Employment Type: Permanent, Full time (37.5 hpw)
Salary: circa £50,000 pa depending on experience, a car allowance will be included too, with some great benefits including a health cash plan and Wagestream!
You’ll be an important member of our highly respected and specialist health and safety team. We are currently ranked with a 5* rating with the British Safety Council. Critical to making the service we deliver a success are the strong relationships we’ve developed across the wider business and with our external partners. We are passionate about developing and implementing the Health and Safety strategy, plan, and policies for Home Group to ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Typical Day as a Health and Safety Business Partner:
- Work with stakeholders within your Northwest and Scottish region.
- Support our Operational management teams (for example: developing suitable training programmes).
- Conduct health and safety checks of colleagues & contractors, high-quality in-house Health and Safety audits/inspections, and create accurate monthly management reports from our performance data.
- Support, advise, and guide the contractor procurement process while building and maintaining relationships with the supply chain.
- Collaborate and engage with other colleagues within the Health and Safety team.
Qualifications:
- NEBOSH Dip or equivalent, Grad IOSH as minimum, actively working towards CMIOSH, maintaining your CPD as per the IOSH Blueprint programme.
- Experience in a Maintenance/Construction H&S Management or equivalent role.
- Experience in compiling and reviewing detailed risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
- Experience in supporting/advising with construction-related health and safety, including guided training on various risks e.g., working at heights, CDM, asbestos, vibration, and dust.
- Analyze accidents/incidents and investigations, completing comprehensive investigation reports.
- Experience in writing and reviewing health and safety policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- A full current UK driving licence for business use and commuting.
Job Details:
- Monday to Friday working week.
- Responsibility for health and safety across your region, with occasional travel throughout the country.
- Flexibility of working either from home or in one of your local offices, with the technology and kit provided to facilitate this.
- Opportunity to shape your own diary, likely spending around 2-3 days per week on the road, with the remainder working from offices and home.
