You’ll manage a team of PBS Support Workers centred around a customer with complex presentation. You and your team will support customers with any aspect of their day-to-day living. You’ll work in a person-centred, strengths-based and psychologically informed way, so they can enjoy the best possible quality of life.

You’ll be in regular contact with your manager updating, escalating and reporting on all aspects of the service delivery. You’ll be responsible for planning and overseeing complex support working with customers who display behaviours of concern and may require personal care working alongside Home Group’s local multi-disciplinary team.

You have:

  • Experience in CQC Regulated services, a Level 4 Diploma in Adult Health & Social Care or equivalent or prepared to work towards it.
  • Worked as a Senior Support Worker, leading support for people with complex needs, or behaviours of distress.
  • A patient and calm approach, able to adapt your style to the customer's needs, as well as to the specific occasion and circumstances, even when they challenge us.
  • Great people management and motivation skills, bringing colleagues together to share information, best practice and fostering creativity.
  • Experience of positive risk management, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of customers and colleagues.

A customer has support on a 1:1 basis 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with shift times usually beginning at 8am and working a 12.5-hour shift. Each week there will be an admin day of 7.5 hours. You will also join our other team leaders in on-call duties.

Able to use technology to create and update support plans, communicate with colleagues and complete online learning. We’ll make sure you have a fantastic induction with ongoing learning and support. You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
