Typical day as a Deputy Manager

You will work with a wider team including a Registered Manager, Mental health practice lead, Referral worker, Support coordinators and Support workers.

You’ll lead a support team to ensure thathigh quality individualised care is delivered which ensures safety and great quality of life. You will support customers and their families to transform lives and build independence.

Our customers all have a primary diagnosis of mental health. And are supported by the team at Aviary House to complete their daily living activities and fulfil their aspirations. Whether that is providing some support to a customer to access the community or supporting a customer to fulfil an aspiration such as playing a game of golf.

As the Deputy Manager you will be a compassionate and knowledgeable leader ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, cost-effective person-centred service in line with CQC single assessment framework.Your support team will deliver care to a small group of customers with complex needs delivering support guided by the Registered Manager and Mental health Practice lead.

You will play a key role in monitoring quality and outcomes data with the Registered Manager to evidence compliance and best practice aligned with regulatory requirements.

A bit about you

You’ll have an excellent understanding of relevant regulatory policies and procedures, including fundamental standard regulations such as NICE guidelines and CQC regulations.You will also have experience of working with individuals with complex presentations and behaviours of concern.

You\’re used toembedding a culture of strong communication and reflective practice. We will support you to lead, manage and govern your team, assuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care. You will ensure the competence of your team through a process of observation and assessment, coaching, mentoring and directing as required.

You\’ll support our customers in their own homes; therefore, you\’ll need to have a current driving licence and access to your own vehicle for work and we\’ll pay for your mileage.

When you join, you’ll need to have a v alid Enhanced Check u nder the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you don’t have a transferrable one.
