Supported Living Worker
Newcastle Upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear
Permanent, Full Time and Part Time hours available (37.5 hpw if FT)
Earn £12.60 per hour (£24,638 per annum, pro rata).

Typical day as our Supported Living Worker

  • Help customers with daily living tasks to build independence and achieve their goals.
  • Support customers with learning disabilities in activities like cooking, shopping, budgeting, and maintaining tenancies.
  • Assist with personal care, medication, appointments, hobbies, college, or work.
  • Carry out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting, and reviews.
  • Spend quality time with customers – chats, cuppas, and collaborative support with colleagues.

You have

  • Level 2 or above in social care (or willingness to work towards it)
  • Passion for supporting customers to live their best lives with attention to detail
  • Experience caring for others, professionally or personally
  • Ability to work independently, stay calm under pressure, and be resilient
  • Flexible, person-centred approach to meet customer needs, including varied start/finish times
  • Comfortable with technology for updating support plans, learning, and team collaboration

We have full and part time roles available along with the possibility of fixed term maternity cover roles.

  • Occasionally our customers\’ needs mean your start and finish times may change. Where we ask you to be flexible, we will always try to reciprocate
  • 24-hour rota with sleep in shifts/waking nights
  • Confident using technology for plans, training, and collaboration
  • You\’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
