What you’ll do:

  • The first line of support for our customers when our wider team or their own support network isn’t around.
  • You’ll manage health and safety of the building, patrolling to check fire doors and ensuring everything is locked and secure.
  • You’ll think on your feet and manage a situation on the spot, such as investigating suspicious activity or raising the alarm when we need to engage emergency services.
  • If time permits, you’ll also help keep the building clean and tidy, using a mop or broom as needed.

Your requirements:

  • Flexibility to work at short notice, as you’ll be selecting your own shifts.
  • Confidence to work in different services, locations or teams and rapport with colleagues.
  • Passion and experience in supporting others, ideally in a supported housing setting.
  • Experience of caring for others – professionally or personally.
  • Calm, confident decision‑making even under pressure.

Practical bits:

  • Night shifts available 7 nights a week, starting at 6 pm.
  • Day shifts available on weekends, 11‑hour shifts.
  • Although you’ll work nights / lone, we meet regularly during the day for training and team meetings.
  • Required: Enhanced with Barring list (we pay for the check).
  • A vehicle insured for business use (and a license) is also required; we pay for business mileage.
