Job Description – Assistant Product Owner (251347)

Permanent, full time (37.5 hpw) – Newcastle Upon Tyne. Salary circa £35000 negotiable based on skills and experience plus brilliant benefits including health cash plan.

Typical day as an Assistant Product Owner

  • Collaborate closely with the Lead Product Owner to maintain and evolve the roadmap for our digital products, ensuring they meet the ever-changing needs of our customers and colleagues.
  • Immerse yourself in market trends, customer feedback, and analytics to guide the development of features that truly matter.
  • Work hand-in-hand with web development teams, crafting user stories and journeys that bring our digital vision to life.
  • Navigate through priorities, conflicts, and stakeholder needs to secure a product roadmap that aligns with our strategic goals.
  • Engage in all agile ceremonies, from sprint planning to retrospectives, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Be a pivotal part of product releases, communicating value and expectations to stakeholders, reinforcing your role as a key product knowledge source.

Job details

  • Flexible working hours (or we’re open to agreeing a work pattern with you)
  • You’ll manage your own diary, so if you need to nip out to walk the dog or do the school run, we’re ok with that!
  • This is a hybrid role, you’ll spend 2 days a week in the office, 3 days working at home.
  • Able to use technology to collaborate with customers and colleagues and have a finger on the pulse with digital technologies.
