£10.00 – £12.21 per hour (depending on age)

We’ve got the perfect role for you as anApprentice Joiner within Home Group’s Repairs Service. Our award-winning apprenticeship programme is here to kick-start your career – and the great news is, there’s no age limit to apply!

Typical day as an Apprentice Joiner

  • Learn on the job, gaining practical skills and experience while benefiting from the expertise of our experienced colleagues.
  • Spend at least 20% of your time working toward your Level 3 Carpentry and Joinery qualification with our dedicated learning partner.
  • Receive one-to-one support from a workplace mentor who’ll guide you as you develop.
  • Attend all required training sessions to build your knowledge and skills, both practical and theoretical.
  • Learn everything you need to know to carry out essential joinery work, including fitting doors, skirting, flooring, kitchens, and other repairs or installations within our customers\’ homes which falls in line supporting evidence for your Carpentry and Joinery Qualification.
  • Work across our Repairs and Void Service in the Copeland and Allerdale area, completing a variety of joinery tasks to help ensure our customers’ homes are safe, secure, and comfortable.

About you

We don’t just look at qualifications – we want to get to know the real you! But there are a few essentials:

  • You’re excited to learn and grow, and ready to invest time in your personal and professional development.
  • You’ve got basic IT skills (or a willingness to learn), which will help with your learning and communication.
  • You’re a team player who enjoys working with others, taking pride in your work, and always looking to deliver the best outcome for customers.
  • You’repractical, reliable, and keen to get hands-on experience in a real work environment.
  • You have GCSEs (A-C or 9-4) in English and Maths. If you also have a Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject – brilliant! If not, just show us your passion and commitment.
  • You must be available for interview when contacted – interviews run Monday to Friday, 08:00am to 4:00pm.

We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for apprenticeship roles.

Job details

  • F ull-time, Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00 (so me flexibility may be required to meet customer or business needs).
  • A Basic DBS check is required – don’t worry, we’ll pay for it.
