Responsibilities

  • Supporting customers with promoting independence, encouraging them to carry out daily tasks.
  • Working with a diverse range of customers who have experience homelessness with a variety of support needs including but not limited to mental/physical health, offending and substance misuse.
  • Encouraging independence and celebrating wins.
  • Creating a safe, positive space where dignity and respect come first.
  • Working collaboratively to empower our customers.

Qualifications

  • Passion to support our customers to live their best lives.
  • Experience of caring for others, professionally or personally.
  • The ability to work on your own initiative, staying calm and positive under pressure.
  • Recognise every customer is different and adopt a flexible, personal approach, listening to understand their needs.
  • A Level 2 diploma in Care or equivalent experience (or willing to study towards it).

Practical Bits

  • Rota system with weekend working, one Sunday every two weeks, a mixture of 8-4 & 12-8 shifts during the week.
  • You need an Enhanced DBS with barring list (we pay).
  • Based at our Wilkinson House service, a 9 bed hostel.
  • Holding a caseload of customers providing effective support using our support planning model.
