Technical Quality Manager
Earn up to £47,000per annum (depending on experience) plus great benefits including Health Cash Plan
Plus, car allowance of £4609 per annum based on mileage
London – working on our development sites, from our office at Liverpool Street and from home
Temporary, full time, 37.5 hpw (12 months fixed term contract)

Youll manage the technical quality of our schemes in the Southern region, working collaboratively with our Development and Delivery colleagues, advising on the technical and quality aspects of thedesign, specificationsand standards, as well as carrying out regular inspections.
What youll do

Driving technical design and quality of our schemes through reviewing documentation and drawings as sufficiently describing the works and meeting Building Safety requirements, providing technical sign off where required.

Managing inspections and reporting at key build stages (including up to handover and at the end of the defect liability period), referring to plans, photographing works, taking measurements and checking materials.

Attending pre-construction site meetings and other technical project meetings to provide technical and quality input.

Ensuring homes are delivered on time and programme risks managed, working closely with project teams, carrying out regular reviews on contractors progress of works against programmes and providing advice on handover dates and program risks.

Regular monitoring and recording of inspections by Building Control and NHBC/Warranty, tracking issues raised and ensuring they are rectified. Supporting the teams to hold contractors to account for quality, workmanship and safety on our construction sites at all times.

You have
-
Experience of the full development process with a residential developer, contractor or consultant in the construction or housebuilding industry. Youll have a good technical knowledge in identifying defects, snags and general construction quality in new homes.

Anup-to-date knowledge ofregulations, codes and standards, including materials, trades, methods and legal requirements.

Hold a relevant degree (or equivalent professional experience) alongside a professional accreditation such as RICS, CIOB, ICWCI, RIBA or equivalent or be working towards this.

As safety is of paramount importance, a detailed understanding of Health & Safety regulations, with experience of ensuring sites and assets remain safe. Youllhold, or be prepared to work toward, a site safety accreditation such as CSCS or equivalent.

Youll have a good eye for detail, be a great influencer, with a good understanding of the external environmentand our place within it.
