Permanent, part time (35 hpw) in Middlesbrough.

What you’ll do:

  • Supporting customers with daily tasks. Our service supports young people between 16 and 24. The service is Ofsted registered.
  • Encouraging independence and celebrating wins
  • Creating a safe, positive space where dignity and respect come first

You have:

  • Passion to support our customers to live their best lives
  • Experience of caring for others, professionally or personally
  • The ability to work on your own initiative, staying calm and positive under pressure
  • Recognise every customer is different and adopt a flexible, personal approach, listening to understand their needs
  • A Level 2 diploma in Care or equivalent experience (or willing to study towards it)

The practical bits:

  • Rota pattern includes shifts of 07:30-15:00 and 14:30-22:00. You will work 5 shifts each week and there is some weekend working (not every weekend).
  • You will be responsible for your own case load, ensuring that you are supporting our young person from tenancy start to successful move on, whilst developing their independent living skills.
  • You will be fully based at our service. There is no element of home working.
  • You need an Enhanced DBS with barring list (we pay).
  • A vehicle insured for business use is a preference for this role (and a license!), we’ll pay for any business mileage.
