As our Bid Development Lead, youll lead the end-to-end bid and tender process, ensuring submissions are high quality, commercially robust, fully compliant and clearly demonstrate the value of our services.
Youll bring commercial insight to bid decisions, helping assess opportunities, risks, pricing assumptions and strategic fit before we commit resource.
What youll do Youll lead the end-to-end bid and tender process, ensuring submissions are high quality, commercially robust, compliant and clearly reflect Home Groups strengths. Youll support horizon scanning for new business opportunities, using tendering portals to review, recommend and maximise growth opportunities across our product portfolio. Youll apply our gateway approval processes and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders including finance, legal and HRD to support robust governance and successful submissions. Youll lead quality assurance and continuous improvement across the bid process, using feedback, outcomes, data and best practice to strengthen our bid library and future responses. Youll lead, coach and support our team of bid writers, setting clear expectations and helping them deliver high-quality work under pressure.

You have Strong experience in bid and tender management, ideally within the supported housing sector. Excellent leadership, team management and coaching skills, with the confidence to set direction, support performance and hold others to account. Strong written, presentation, negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to produce and improve high-quality bid responses. Experience of quality assuring submissions and applying continuous improvement practices, using feedback, outcomes and lessons learned to strengthen future bids. Confidence working at pace, managing competing deadlines, prioritising effectively and keeping others focused, calm and clear on what matters most.

The practical bits Flexible working hours (or were open to agreeing a work pattern with you) Youll manage your own diary, so if you need to take delivery of your new fridge or take a longer lunch for a haircut, you can use your flexi time to manage that! Our team is spread nationally
so we take it in turns where we host our monthly face to face team meeting! Our offices are in Leeds, London, Birmingham and Newcastle, so every now and then youll be going further afield. We also regularly visit services were supporting with tenders, so youll need to be okay with travelling (we cover train or milage expenses of course!)
