Housing Manager in Stansted

Salary £32,000 - £38,000, with great benefits including Health cash plan.

Permanent, Full time (37.5 hpw) in the Central Region covering High Wycombe, St. Albans and surrounding areas.

This is a great job opportunity for a Housing Manager to join Home Group's housing team. As our Housing Manager, you'll provide face-to-face customer support to our communities. It is an ideal job for someone who has a passion for neighbourhood management, including managing anti-social behaviour and supporting our customers through difficult times.

You will be supported by the wider housing management teams, Community Housing Assistants, and Financial Inclusion Partners. Through visibility, engagement with customers, and proactivity on our estates, you'll get to know our communities, helping us improve our local neighbourhoods.

What you'll do:

• Understand the community you work in for our general needs, shared ownership, and leasehold customers.
• Develop and maintain a community patch plan in collaboration with customers and external stakeholders.
• Represent Home Group in communities and undertake Housing Manager tasks such as Patch Inspections, Anti-social behaviour management, statutory compliance visits, rent arrears visits, and viewings/sign-ups for new customers.
• Progress legal paperwork such as Notices of Seeking Possession and prepare witness statements for anti-social behaviour cases at court.
• Represent Home Group at Court on cases on your patch.
• Have involvement across other housing management functions.

You have:

• A background in neighbourhood management processes, either within the housing sector or an alternative sector.
• An understanding of housing management, housing law, and customer service.
• Competence in IT and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• A passion for delivering excellent customer service and a genuine desire to help customers.
• Resilience to handle challenges, especially when dealing with complaints.
• Confidence working with external partners and stakeholders such as local authorities.

• Ability to drive and have access to a vehicle insured for business purposes.
