Qualifications

  • Passion to support our customers to live their best lives
  • Experience of caring for others, professionally or personally
  • The ability to work on your own initiative, staying calm and positive under pressure
  • Recognise every customer is different and adopt a flexible, personal approach, listening to understand their needs
  • A Level 2 diploma in Care or equivalent experience (or willing to study towards it), Disability Confident

The practical bits

As you work shifts, it is difficult to set out your normal working hours and these will be confirmed in a rota. Generally, you'll work 27 hours one week and 36 hours the next week and these hours will be allocated between Monday and Sunday. The rota might need to be changed based on the needs of customers and the business but don't worry, we'll give you plenty of notice (up to 4 weeks) if we need to change this. These hours are the hours you are busy working, so they don't include your lunch breaks. You may also be entitled to an unpaid break in accordance with your shift duration. Although you'll work nights / lone work, we do get together regularly [in the daytime] for training and team meetings. You need an Enhanced DBS with barring list (we pay).
