Permanent, part time (28.5 hpw), Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Leeds.

We have a fabulous opportunity for you to join our kind and caring team. We support our customers with a range of support needs which may include frailty and dementia; we help them regain or maintain their independence and live well in their own homes. Some of our customers have more complex support needs and may require personal care, including bathing, toileting and getting dressed.

What you'll do:

  • Support our customers in their own apartment who have a range of support needs including frailty and dementia.
  • Help to regain or maintain independence and live well in their own home by carrying out everyday daily living activities.
  • Carry out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews.
  • Support customers who have more complex needs with personal care including bathing, toileting and getting dressed.
  • Assist in the delivery of tasks based on our customers' personal support plans, making them feel valued, respected and maintaining their dignity.

You have:

  • Care Certificate or willing to complete within the first 12 weeks of employment.
  • A Level 2 Diploma in Care or equivalent experience working in a personal care environment or willing to study for a Level 2 Diploma in Care.
  • Experience of working on your own initiative, remaining calm under pressure, and having a resilient approach.
  • Experience of risk management, supporting and empowering customers through their care plans.
  • The ability to recognise every customer is different and adopt a flexible, personal approach, listening to customers to understand their needs.

The practical bits:

  • We provide 24-hour support; you will be working nights.
  • Although you'll work shifts, we do get together regularly for training and team meetings.
  • Able to use technology to update support plans, complete online learning and collaborate with colleagues.
  • You'll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
