About the role
Passion and experience in supporting others, ideally in a supported housing setting. Experience of caring for others – professionally or personally. Calm, confident decision‑making even under pressure. Flexibility to work at short notice, as you'll be the one picking your next shift. Confidence to work in different services, locations or teams and get on with colleagues.
What you'll do
- First line of support for our customers when our wider team or their own support network isn't around to help.
- Manage the health and safety of the building, patrolling to check fire doors, making sure everything is locked and secure.
- Think on your feet and manage a situation on the spot, such as investigating suspicious activity or raising the alarm when we need to engage the emergency services.
- Help keep the premises clean and tidy, including use of mop or broom.
- Cover shifts within the existing team, including evening and night shifts.
Requirements
- Passion and experience in supporting others, ideally in a supported housing setting.
- Experience of caring for others – professionally or personally.
- Calm, confident decision‑making even under pressure.
- Flexibility to work at short notice.
- Confidence to work in different services, locations or teams and get on with colleagues.
- Enhanced DBS with Barring list (paid); a valid DBS check may be required.
