Location: Leeds. Salary: £13.45 per hour (£26,300 per annum). Permanent, full time (37.5 hours per week).

Role

As a Reablement Worker, you support older people aged 55+ to live independently in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support customers in their own apartments who have a range of support needs including frailty and dementia.
  • Help customers regain or maintain independence by carrying out daily living activities.
  • Carry out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews.
  • Provide personal care including bathing, toileting and dressing for customers with more complex needs.
  • Assist with tasks based on personal support plans, ensuring customers feel valued, respected and maintain their dignity.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Care Certificate or willingness to complete within the first 12 weeks of employment.
  • Level 2 Diploma in Care or equivalent experience in a personal care environment, or willingness to study for the diploma.
  • Passion for supporting customers to live their best life.
  • Experience working on own initiative, remaining calm under pressure and a resilient approach.
  • Experience in risk management, supporting and empowering customers through care plans.
  • Ability to recognise that each customer is different and adapt a flexible, personal approach.

Practical Information

  • 24‑hour support provided.
  • Flexible start or finish times as required by the customers.
  • Shifts include regular training and team meetings.
  • Technical skills for creating and updating support plans.
  • Requires an Enhanced DBS check, which will be paid for.
