The predicted salary is between 50000 - 50000 £ per year.

Salary £50,000 per year plus 34 days leave (inclusive of Bank Holidays and a me day) and matching pension contributions. Permanent, full time (37.5hpw), with hybrid, flexible working in the East Coast and Yorkshire region - ideally based in or around Teesside, Durham, Sunderland or Yorkshire. Regional travel is required as part of this role and occasional national travel.

You will be an important member of our highly respected and specialist health and safety team. Be a trusted partner to our operations teams, supporting them to manage health and safety risks and deliver safe, high-quality services. What you'll do:

  • Support our Operational management teams (for example: developing suitable training programmes).
  • Carry out appropriate health and safety checks of colleagues & contractors, high-quality in-house Health and Safety audits/inspections and create accurate monthly management reports from our performance data.
  • Support, advise, and guide the contractor procurement process as well as build and effectively maintain relationships with the supply chain.
  • Collaboration and engage with other colleagues within the Health and Safety team.

You have:

  • Hold a Health and Safety Qualification, with membership of IOSH, Cert member or above with experience in a maintenance/construction H&S management or equivalent role.
  • Experience in compiling and reviewing detailed risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
  • Experience in supporting/advising with construction related health and safety, including guided training on various risks e.g., working at heights, CDM, asbestos, vibration, and dust.
  • Analyse accidents/incidents and investigations completing comprehensive investigation reports.
  • Experience in writing and reviewing health and safety policies and procedures.
  • A full current UK driving licence for business use and commuting.

The practical bits:

  • You’ll work Monday to Friday and manage your own diary.
  • You’ll cover a patch across the East Coast and Yorkshire Region, working across Teesside, Durham, Sunderland and Yorkshire.
  • Expect to spend 2 to 3 days per week on the road with the rest working from home or a local office. With occasional travel throughout the country.
  • A car allowance of £334.62 per month based on mileage/included in your package.
