You’ll shape how thousands of homes are maintained, before work even starts. Instead of fixing the same problems again and again, you’ll design clear, future‑focused specifications that help teams and contractors get it right first time. What you’ll do

  • Review and redesign maintenance specifications to make them clear, consistent, and future focused.
  • Act as the go‑to expert for colleagues across development, delivery, and planned maintenance teams.
  • Build and manage robust specifications using NBS Chorus for group‑wide use.
  • Embed maintenance thinking into new projects, products, and delivery models.
  • Champion standardisation that improves quality, compliance, and customer experience.

You have

  • A degree in construction or built environment, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong knowledge of repairs, maintenance, and building regulations.
  • Experience working with specifications, contracts, and technical information.
  • Confidence working collaboratively and constructively challenging ideas.
  • Clear communication skills for explaining complex requirements to different audiences.

The practical bits

You’ll manage your own diary. We typically work on a hybrid basis with time in our Newcastle office and from home.
