This is a great opportunity to join our team. As our Housing and Property Lead, you'll focus on tenancy support for our customers, ensuring their homes are safe and well maintained. Providing a housing management service, you'll support them to manage and maintain their tenancy and rent accounts with the aim of helping them move on to a secure, long-term accommodation.

What you’ll do:

  • Making sure that our customers' properties are homes they can be proud of, we’ll support them by engaging and involving them in their tenancies.
  • Help our customers with housing benefit claims, ensuring that these are received on their rent account.
  • When necessary, issue and sign warning letters and notices which may lead to attending court.
  • Prepare rooms for the next customers so we can maximise occupancy; we’ll turn around vacant or void rooms, bed spaces, or properties within set timescales.
  • Ensure we are health and safety compliant and that maintenance standards are met.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in managing a housing caseload and handling landlord and housing management duties.
  • Know‑how of re‑letting rooms or units, collecting rents, and taking formal tenancy action when needed.
  • Able to take on a lead role within the team, offering guidance and support to colleagues.
  • The ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.
  • A 'can do' positive attitude; proactive and well‑organised, and able to work on your initiative.
  • Confident working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business as well as with external partners; disability-confident.

The practical bits:

  • Monday to Friday 9-5pm.
  • Flexible working hours (or we’re open to agreeing a work pattern with you).
  • Based at our service in Falmouth, you’ll spend your time travelling around the properties in our Falmouth and Camborne patch.
  • Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans, making benefit claims and doing tenancy sign‑ups.
  • To get from A to B, you’ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we’ll pay your mileage!
  • You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
