Permanent, Full time (37.5 hpw), working 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday
Based in Bodmin but also covering services in St Austell, Launceston, Bude, Newquay and other services in the county if required.
We have a brilliant opportunity to join our fantastic Housing Management Team. You will be the multi-skilled hands-on practical support that helps our colleagues deliver services to our customers. We work with customers who have Adult Social Care requirements or are homeless, across a mix of properties and grounds. As our handy person, you'll spend much of your time working across our services in the West of the County and on occasion helping in the East.

What you'll do:
- Perform minor or simple emergency repairs, decorating and cleaning in properties and communal areas.
- Handle tasks like hanging curtain poles, moving furniture, touching up paint, changing washers, unblocking sinks, mowing lawns and clearing grounds.
- Carry out regular fire safety checks.
- Work with colleagues, contractors and customers.
- Liaise with Customer Service Centre and contractors to report and follow up on repairs outside your remit.

You have:
- A team player with a can-do attitude and enthusiasm.
- General maintenance know-how, a bit of carpentry, basic plumbing and confidence with a paintbrush or broom.

Job details:
- We mainly work Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
- You'll be based at St Nicholas House in Bodmin, Cornwall and travel around the properties in the East of the county mostly in St Austell, Launceston, Bude, Newquay and Bodmin.
- Occasionally you'll head outside the patch for all hands on deck situations.
- You'll need a Standard DBS check, we pay for it.
