Join our experienced maintenance team and help us keep homes safe, warm and well cared for. You'll work with skilled colleagues, initially within our Empty Homes workstream, who know their stuff and want to share it. Responsibilities
- Ensure empty homes are prepared for re-letting efficiently by completing timely inspections and compiling all required pre-construction information.
- Work collaboratively with Housing teams to ensure customers have a great start to their tenancy and a positive introduction to life with Home Group.
- Carry out inspections and manage repairs across your patch.
- Support trades and contractors with technical advice and guidance.
- Manage disrepair cases and help tackle damp and mould.
- Oversee building works and track progress against schedules.

Requirements
- HNC in Surveying or HND/Degree in surveying or construction related field, with strong post qualification experience.
- Knowledge of damp and mould, or willing to work towards a qualification.
- Experience diagnosing property condition and scoping for remedial works.
- Understanding of building pathology and complex issues like subsidence.
- Experience managing contractors and ensuring health and safety compliance.
Additional Information
- You’ll work Monday to Friday.
- You’ll cover a patch across the North East. Expect to spend time on the road and working from home.
- You need a vehicle insured for business use, and we pay your mileage.
- You need a Basic DBS check that we pay for.
