The Role
As a P ersonal Care Assistant, you’ll be part of our client’s dedicated support team, providing essential care in their home. You’ll be employed by HomeCareDirect but will focus solely on supporting this client.
This role is for 12 hours per week, working 2 x 6hr shifts. Shifts are between 9am to 3pm between Monday and Friday to suit the needs of the client so flexibility is needed.
About the Client & Your Responsibilities
Our client is an intelligent, thoughtful and engaging individual who sustained life-changing injuries as a result of a road traffic accident. He now requires full care support, including all aspects of personal care, moving and handling using a hoist and help with preparing and cooking food.
He is an academic with a doctorate in philosophy and has a strong interest in technology, particularly in the areas of computing and artificial intelligence. He enjoys learning and welcomes PA’s who are open to conversations on a wide range of topics.
Our client plays an active role in managing a woodland area and enjoys nature-based activities such as wildlife observation and tree planting. PA’s will be expected to support and accompany him to take part in these activities, which are an important part of his life so you should be a driver with a full, UK driving licence.

- Medication Administering / Cough Assist / Ventilation
- Mental Health / Epilepsy / Spinal Injury / Autonomic Dysreflexia
All training must be completed prior to start date and is paid at £14.40 per hour.

- Driver, with a full UK driving licence and aged between 20yrs and 65yrs for insurance purposes
- Flexible to work between Monday – Friday
