The role of this Personal Care Assistant
Our personal care assistants join our client’s support team, providing reliable, essential care and support. The role is part-time, 20 hours per week on Thursday and Friday.
About the Client and Duties
Our client is a quiet gentleman who enjoys Manchester United, gaming, reading and crime. We are looking to recruit a personal care assistant who can motivate him to do his daily chores and assist him around his home with general housework while also accompanying him out in the community for social activities and appointments.
There is no personal care involved in this role; however you will be required to assist with personal care when needed during or after a seizure.
The role and client can be challenging, so a good understanding of mental health is important to provide proper support for his wellbeing. Driving is not required, but you should be comfortable around dogs as the family has an energetic and affectionate cockapoo. Knowledge of autism would also be an advantage.
