The Headteacher and Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspirational and highly motivated Deputy Head Teacher who will also undertake a class teaching commitment. This role would suit either an experienced senior leader or an exceptional teacher ready to take the next step into leadership, with the ability to make a significant contribution to the strategic development of the school, while continuing to model outstanding classroom practice. Due to the leadership responsibilities of the role, this is a full‑time position only. On this occasion, we are unable to consider applications from candidates seeking part‑time or flexible working arrangements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the leadership of teaching and learning across the school
  • Acting as a Designated Safeguarding Lead
  • Leading areas of school improvement, including curriculum and assessment
  • Promoting high standards of achievement, behaviour and wellbeing
  • Undertaking a class teaching commitment
  • Leading curriculum subjects and supporting subject leaders
  • Working closely with the SENCo to ensure inclusive practice for all pupils
