Due to an existing staff member taking maternity leave, we are seeking a reliable, self-motivated, and organised School Office Administrator to help support the smooth running of our busy school office. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a warm and welcoming team, where no two days are the same and your role makes a real difference to the lives of children and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and staff—both in person and over the phone
- Maintain accurate school records for pupils and staff using SIMS and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Oversee the school admissions process, including managing enquiries, liaising with parents and local authority and maintaining accurate records
- Provide general admin and clerical support, including reception duties and school communications
- Update the school website and Facebook page and send texts and emails
- Assist with basic financial tasks such as raising purchase orders and processing invoices
- Oversee dinner money and breakfast club payments
- Coordinate DBS checks and support with staff recruitment administration
- Manage mail and other day-to-day office tasks as required
