Due to one of our existing team taking a period of maternity leave we are seeking to appoint a reliable and self‑motivated Finance & HR Officer who possesses excellent communication skills and who will work well within our existing team.
Responsibilities
- Assist the School Business Manager in providing a comprehensive and accurate financial administration service, including the management of school funds, raising orders, processing invoices and arranging payments.
- Assist the School Business Manager with a comprehensive and accurate human resources administration service: recording staff absences and leave, drafting letters, administering the DBS checking process and the recruitment and selection process.
- Ensure electronic personnel files are accurate and up to date, and that data is collated and submitted as required.
- Analyse staff absences, alert the School Business Manager/appropriate staff for Attendance Management Reviews, and provide statistical information regarding staff absence levels.
- Undertake routine financial administration procedures, ensuring accuracy, high standards and compliance with school financial procedures and regulations, and providing consistent financial reporting.
- Administer school cash where appropriate, including logging of cash received.
- Prepare regular and ad‑hoc material, both manually and through computerised systems, as requested by the School Business Manager.
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and computer records, recording all financial transactions such as order forms, invoices and receipts.
- Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of all information produced.
- Support in other ad‑hoc finance & HR related work as required by the School Business Manager.
