Overview
We are looking to appoint a mental health co-ordinator who can develop and implement an evidence-informed approach to improving the mental health and wellbeing of pupils at Holy Trinity. You will play a vital role in improving our pupils\' readiness to learn so they can make good progress and achieve the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsibility to provide a wide range of support to students throughout their academic experience at Holy Trinity, including responding to queries regarding a student\'s mental health, disability, medical or personal problems.
- Establish ongoing communication and positive relationships with students, peers, departments and external agencies to ensure students are provided with the best possible support and guidance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Understanding, compassion and a strong awareness of the mental health and wellbeing issues affecting young people today.
- A relevant degree level qualification.
- Experience of working collaboratively with multiple agencies and coordinating support across different services to ensure a joined-up approach to pupil wellbeing.
- A good understanding of the current challenges facing children and young people, and the range of local and national resources available to support them.
- An interest in research evidence about mental health and wellbeing and how this can inform practice in schools.
- Emotional intelligence and excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents, and external professionals.
- Experience of implementing and coordinating change within an educational, health or social care setting.
