Salary: SCP 3-5 £15,262 - £15,746 per annum. 4 positions x 31.25 hours per week, term time working 38 weeks per year. Temporary until July 2027. Required for September 2026. 2 x Key Stage One Teaching Assistants and 2 x Key Stage Two Teaching Assistants.

Based on 31.25 hours per week (FTE £24,796 to £25,583) 38 weeks - £15,262 to £15,746 (5 INSETs). This is a term-time only position, paid on a pro-rated basis. Your monthly pay is spread evenly across the year, including school holiday periods. Start date: September 2026.

The Board of Directors of St Joseph Catholic Multi Academy Trust is looking to appoint 4 Teaching Assistants at Holy Family Catholic Primary Academy from September 2026 to support within class and to support children who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with class teachers to support high-quality teaching and learning in Key Stage One and/or Key Stage Two.
  • Provide targeted support for individuals and small groups of children, including those with additional learning needs and behavioural needs.
  • Help to create a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment where all children can flourish.
  • Support the development of children’s communication, language, social and emotional skills.
  • Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of pupil progress.
  • Promote positive behaviour and uphold the school’s values and mission.

  • Has experience of working with young children, and children who have SEND.
  • Is patient, caring and passionate about supporting children’s learning development.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Is proactive, flexible and able to use their initiative.
