Holy Family Catholic Academy is looking to appoint a highly-skilled Level 3 Early Years Practitioner from September 2026.

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic and caring Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our committed team. This is an exciting opportunity to support children in the early stages of their education and make a real difference in a supportive school environment.
Duties as Level 3 Early Years Practitioner:
- Support children aged 24 through structured and play based early years activities
- Contribute to planning and delivery of age appropriate learning experiences
- Support early communication, literacy, numeracy, and physical development
- Maintain a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment
- Assist with observations, assessments, and progress notes as required
- Help with daily routines including settling, toileting, transitions and snack times
- Work collaboratively with early years colleagues to ensure consistent EYFS practice
- Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise child welfare
- Engage in consistent high-quality interactions with children
- Deliver quality learning and report on the progress and attainment of children in key worker group
- Provide intimate care to children still in nappies
- Work closely with other staff members to support children's learning and development, including those with special educational needs and disabilities
- Liaise with external agencies when necessary to ensure comprehensive support for children
Qualifications and Skills:
- Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification is essential
- Early years experience is strongly preferred
- Experience of delivering WELLCOMM is desirable
- Paediatric first aid training is essential
- Warm, patient, and nurturing approach
- Ability to support early communication, play based learning, and developmental needs
- Good communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
- Able to work the required hours, term time only
- Proactive, reliable, and committed to high quality early years provision
- Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting child well being
