Admin Assistant Employment Type: Part Time, All Year Round
Salary Range: £20k (actual salary £20,000 per annum; FTE £30,449)
Qualifications
- GCSE in English
- Recognised level 3 qualification in business or administration, or equivalent gained through experience
Responsibilities
- Provide a warm, efficient and professional reception service, handling enquiries in person, by phone and via email
- Manage correspondence, maintain accurate records and support school-wide administrative processes
- Assist with attendance monitoring, pupil records and school communications, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times
- Support the organisation of meetings, school events and admissions processes, including open events and prospective parent enquiries
- Contribute to maintaining a welcoming, professional and well‑organised reception environment
- Provide pastoral support to pupils and administer first aid (training can be provided)
Essential Skills
- Experience working in a busy, service‑focused environment (school experience desirable)
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, calm, tactful and professional manner
- Confident using IT systems including Microsoft Office and databases
