A full-time position (37.5 hours per week) is available for a Kitchen Assistant at Holy Cross Hospital, working 5 days out of 7, including alternate weekends. The salary is £12.71 per hour, with enhanced rates for weekends and Bank Holidays. The closing date for applications is 7th August 2026, but may close earlier if a suitable candidate is found.
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our busy catering team. This role is essential in ensuring that patients, visitors, and staff receive high-quality meals in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the catering team with basic food preparation tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen, dining, and food service areas.
- Wash kitchen equipment, utensils, and crockery.
- Follow food hygiene, health and safety, and infection prevention procedures at all times.
- Assist with stock rotation and storage of food supplies.
