Holy Cross Hospital is a registered Charity and owned by the Daughters of the Cross. Our expertise is in the provision of neurorehabilitation for our patients. We presently have 42 inpatient beds and provide OP Physiotherapy for the local community.
We are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced dietician with responsibility for providing the dietetic management of our neurorehabilitation patients at Holy Cross Hospital. As a hands-on clinician, the postholder will be energetic, self-directed and an ambitious professional.
Reporting to the Director of Therapies, the postholder will be a respected key member of the multidisciplinary team who are responsible for the delivery of holistic care for our patients who are diagnosed with a wide spectrum of neurological and medical complexity.
The successful candidate will be a HCPC registered Dietician with relevant post-registration experience and be confident in working with patients with long-term conditions and who may require specialist nutritional intervention including enteral feeding.
The postholder will work particularly closely with the medical team, speech and language therapist, nursing teams and catering teams when considering plans for patients with swallowing impairment, cognitive impairment and associated metabolic changes. Leading on the assessment and dietary plan development, the postholder will be an excellent communicator, advising the patient and their families or carers on the nutritional needs of our patients.
