A leading global Mining consultancy is expanding its international Environmental & Social Assessment team in London and looking to hire an experienced Environmental & Social Impact Assessment Project Manager with a strong consultancy background in the mining sector.
This is a London-based role with regular international travel across Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and South America, supporting major mining developments in emerging economies.
The Role
You’ll play a key role in winning and delivering large, complex ESIA and ESDD projects, working closely with a multidisciplinary international team. Responsibilities include:
- Project managing large-scale Environmental & Social Impact Assessments
- Leading Environmental & Social Due Diligence (ESDD) assignments
- Overseeing Environmental & Social Management Plans and Action Plans
- Contributing to environmental chapters of feasibility studies
- Coordinating internal specialists and external consultants
- Leading proposals, bids, and high-quality technical reporting
- Acting as a senior client-facing contact on international mining projects
About You
You’ll bring solid consultancy experience delivering ESIA projects in the mining sector, along with:
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing clients
- Strong track record in bids, tenders, and business development
- Excellent knowledge of international ESIA standards, including:
- IFC Performance Standards
- World Bank Environmental & Social Standards
- EBRD Environmental & Social Requirements
