A leading construction consultancy is expanding its team and recruiting experienced Contracts/Commercial Managers to support the delivery of large-scale, complex energy projects across Scotland. This is a key permanent hybrid role, offering the opportunity to work closely with high-profile energy clients. You will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement and commercial strategies across a diverse portfolio of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead high-impact energy projects: Collaborate closely with client project teams, bringing your commercial expertise to deliver major energy infrastructure projects.
  • Drive financial and commercial performance: Oversee financial and commercial reporting to ensure project success.
  • Manage supply chain excellence: Evaluate work progress, assess payment applications, and manage supply chain relationships to maintain project schedules and budgets.
  • Champion change management: Lead change management initiatives to shape project outcomes and drive continuous improvement.
  • Mitigate project risk: Play a pivotal role in risk identification and mitigation throughout project lifecycles.
  • Collaborate and communicate: Engage in internal and external meetings, fostering strong partnerships and team collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience administering project contracts, especially NEC or FIDIC contracts.
  • Background in major projects within the Energy, Oil & Gas, or heavy infrastructure sectors.
  • RICS, ICES, or CIPS chartership highly desirable but not essential.
  • Strong vendor management and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work autonomously while managing client expectations professionally and calmly.
