Our client, a growing and forward-thinking organisation, is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead their procurement function for their Oil & Gas and Mining sectors. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a high-performing team, shape procurement strategy, and play a key role in driving commercial performance.

The Role

  • Leading, motivating and developing a team of Procurement Specialists.
  • Managing supplier and third-party relationships, ensuring competitive pricing and quality.
  • Overseeing the end-to-end procurement process, from sourcing and negotiation through to order fulfilment.
  • Reviewing and authorising quotations, scopes of work and client bid requirements.
  • Using data to set, monitor and report on performance metrics and KPIs.
  • Supporting the implementation of improved systems, processes and tools.
  • Monitoring industry trends and making recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring compliance, due diligence and risk management in all procurement activity.
  • Championing company values and embedding professional standards across the team.

The Person

  • Proven experience in procurement management with team leadership responsibility.
  • Strong supplier management, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to balance profitability, compliance and sustainability.
  • A data-driven approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Confident communication and influencing ability at all levels.
  • Flexibility to travel nationally and internationally as required.
