We are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a busy fleet operation in Basildon, working across a range of vans and cars. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician with strong diagnostic ability who enjoys working in a varied, fast-paced environment and wants a stable Monday-to-Friday role with excellent earning potential.
The Role
- As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, repair and diagnosis of a mixed fleet of vehicles, including cars and commercial vans.
- You will need to be confident using diagnostic equipment and capable of accurately identifying and resolving complex mechanical and electrical faults.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on fleet cars and vans
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and electronic faults
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults accurately
- Complete inspections and ensure vehicles are maintained to a high standard
- Carry out MOT-related preparation and general vehicle checks where required
- Work efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality
- Record all work completed accurately
About You
- The ideal candidate will be an experienced Vehicle Technician with:
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience working on both cars and vans
- A solid background in vehicle servicing and repairs
- The ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults
- A professional, reliable and hardworking approach
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Hours
42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Shift patterns:
- 8:00am β 5:30pm
- 8:30am β 6:00pm
