Holt Recruitment is working on behalf of a successful plant hire company based near West Wickham who are looking to recruit experienced Plant Fitters to join their growing team. This is a varied and hands-on role, with opportunities to work across both workshop and mobile environments, maintaining, servicing, and repairing a wide range of plant machinery including diggers, dumpers, telehandlers, and small equipment/tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical repairs across a mixed fleet of plant machinery.
  • Perform diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and fault-finding to ensure machines are operational and safe.
  • Work across both mobile and workshop settings as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and service schedules.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed safely and in line with industry standards.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Plant Fitter, Plant Mechanic, or similar heavy machinery role.
  • Strong mechanical and hydraulic knowledge; electrical experience is advantageous.
  • Full, clean driving licence; own tools preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible approach to mobile and workshop work.
