- We are recruiting for an experienced
HGV Technician / PSV Technician to join the engineering team of a leading international passenger transport operator.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a modern fleet within a busy, well-equipped workshop, carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs to the highest standards.
The Role of the HGV Technician
- Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on PSV and commercial vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults.
- Complete preventative maintenance inspections (PMIs).
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to DVSA standards.
- Accurately complete job cards and maintenance records.
- Work closely with the Workshop Chargehand and Engineering team.
- Support apprentices and promote safe working practices.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the workshop.
- What you’ll need as the HGV Technician
- City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Previous experience working on PSV, Bus, Coach or HGV vehicles.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A Full UK Driving Licence (PCV Licence desirable but not essential).
