We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Vehicle Prep Manager to join a busy and fast‑paced vehicle preparation centre in Derby. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on organisation, leadership, and maintaining high standards across all areas of vehicle prep. You will be responsible for leading a small team while ensuring all vehicles are prepared efficiently and to a high standard, ready for the forecourt.

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive salary of £40,000 – £45,000 depending on experience
  • Monday to Friday working hours (no weekends)

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, motivate, and develop a team of technicians, valeters, and smart repair staff
  • Conduct performance reviews and support team development
  • Implement and enforce prep processes and guidelines
  • Oversee vehicle workflow from delivery through to forecourt readiness
  • Check vehicles in on arrival and coordinate with repair and paint teams
  • Order parts and manage job progress efficiently
  • Ensure all vehicles meet quality standards and deadlines

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a similar managerial role within automotive
  • Strong technical knowledge of vehicle preparation, smart repairs, and valeting
  • Confident leader with the ability to manage people and drive performance
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Experience setting up processes or improving operations is highly desirable
