Holt Automotive is working on behalf of a respected family‑run dealer group in the Agricultural & Groundcare sector to recruit a Garden Machinery Mechanic working predominantly field‑based covering the Stevenage & surrounding areas with occasional work at branch.

About the Role

As a Garden Machinery Mechanic, you will play a vital role in servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of garden machinery including mowers, hedge trimmers, strimmers, compact tractors, and similar equipment. You will deliver exceptional service to customers while being part of a friendly and supportive team at this well‑established, customer‑focused business.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds a valid UK driving licence.
  • Has previous experience working with garden machinery (or similar sectors such as agricultural, plant, or small engine equipment).
  • Possesses strong technical knowledge of small petrol/diesel engines, basic electrics, and mechanical systems.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service.
  • Holds a land‑based engineering or small engine qualification (advantageous but not essential).
