Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 + Benefits

Hours: Monday to Friday (42.5 hours per week)

Shifts: 7:00am – 4:30pm OR 8:00am – 5:30pm

We are working with a highly reputable, international commercial vehicle leasing and hire company who are looking to add an experienced HGV Fleet Technician to their growing team in Southampton. The Role

As an HGV Fleet Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of commercial vehicles, ensuring they remain roadworthy, compliant, and operating at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on HGVs
  • Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment
  • Complete safety inspections and ensure compliance with DVSA standards
  • Prepare vehicles for MOT
  • Maintain accurate records of work carried out
  • Work efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an HGV Technician / Fleet Technician
  • Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance)
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • A proactive and reliable approach to work
  • HGV licence (desirable but not essential)
