We are recruiting for a Service & PDI Technician to join a well‑established service department working on a range of groundcare machinery. This is a hands‑on role involving servicing, repairs, and pre‑delivery inspections, supporting a growing and busy operation.
Hours: Full‑time, 39 hours per week (Monday to Thursday 8:00–16:30, Friday 8:00–15:30, with overtime and occasional weekend work)
Key Responsibilities:
- Service and maintain groundcare machinery including mowers, utility vehicles, ATVs, and handheld equipment
- Carry out pre‑delivery inspections (PDI) on new machinery
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and powertrain faults
- Use diagnostic software where required (training provided)
- Complete detailed job reports, including photos and time records
- Identify additional work and support upselling where appropriate
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and safety
- Support the workshop team with general duties as required
Skills & Experience Required:
- Background in groundcare, agricultural, plant, or similar engineering environments
- Strong mechanical and fault‑finding skills
- Hands‑on, flexible approach to work
- Good attention to detail
- Basic IT skills and willingness to use diagnostic systems
- Full UK driving licence required
