Location: Heathrow Airport

Salary: £47,047.50 + £3,500 Shift Allowance + £500 London Weighting

Shift: 4 on / 4 off (2pm – 2am)

Holt Recruitment are working in partnership with a leading provider of aviation ground support equipment, supporting major UK airports, to recruit a GSE Engineer based at Heathrow. The Role

As a GSE Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of ground support equipment, ensuring reliability and safety across airport operations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Servicing, maintenance, and repair of GSE equipment
  • Carrying out mechanical and electrical planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently
  • Ensuring all paperwork and job records are completed to a high standard
  • Delivering a high level of customer service to internal stakeholders
  • Complying with all health & safety regulations
  • Liaising with internal teams and supporting operational requirements

Requirements

  • Proven experience in HGV maintenance or similar heavy equipment
  • Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
  • Ability to obtain a 5-year checkable work history for airside pass clearance
  • HGV Class 1 Licence (desirable)
  • Relevant engineering qualification (City & Guilds or equivalent)
  • Ability to pass CRC checks and complete GSAT training
